Sheikh Hamdan Welcomes Dubai Royal Family’s Newest Members Rashid And Sheikha

A wave of congratulatory messages and wishes are setting Sheikh Hamdan’s Instagram aflutter as he introduces his two twins, Rashid and Sheikha to his 11.6 million followers.

Dubai Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum shared an Instagram story announcing the birth of his twins yesterday, followed by a heartwarming photo of him holding his babies this afternoon. He named the baby boy Rashid, and the girl named Sheikha.

Thousands of Sheikh Hamdan’s followers congratulated him on the birth of his twins, and a quick scroll through the comments show well wishes by some of his siblings and UAE Royal Family members like Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum, Manal bint Mohammed Al Maktoum, Shaikha bint Mohammed bin Rashed Al Maktoum, Al Naboodah Investments chairman, Abdulla Al Naboodah and the Crown Prince’s younger brother, Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.

Unless you’re in the know, Sheikh Hamdan married Her Highness Sheikha Sheikha bint Saeed bin Thani Al Maktoum in May 2019 in a private joint-marriage ceremony with his brothers.

His elder brother, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, married HH Sheikha Mariam bint Butti Al Maktoum, and His Highness Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, married HH Sheikha Midya bint Dalmouj Al Maktoum.
