There’s little doubt that Dubai has no shortage of catchy artworks and Instagrammable murals across the city, but there’s a sculpture in Dubai Miracle Garden that’s raising eyebrows for its inappropriate design.
Earlier this month, Dubai Miracle Garden announced they’re re-opening for its ninth season after a seven-month halt due to the Coronavirus outbreak, playing host to a whopping 150 million flowers across its 72,000 sqm space this edition.
As guests and visitors flock upon the park to check out what’s in-display this season, one UAE resident pointed out a sculpture reminiscent of Chad Knight’s infamous water fountain design at the park, with one point of view that’s sending the internet into a spiral. Check it out:
It’s worth mentioning this isn’t the first time a public art installation caused a stir for its inappropriate nature. In 2014, a sculpture taking the shape of a “Christmas Tree” was vandalised as many interpreted it as an adult toy.
