There’s A New Bollywood Song Entirely Themed On Dubai’s ‘Burj Khalifa’

Ahead of ‘Laxmmi Bomb’s hotly-anticipated release next month, they’ve dropped the first track from the movie and it’s entirely themed on Dubai’s foremost landmark, Burj Khalifa.

Last January, we reported Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani teamed up hot on the heels after the success of ‘Good Newwz’ for the upcoming horror-comedy flick, ‘Laxxmi Bomb,’ and the duo were snapped shooting for a music video in Dubai Marina and Downtown.

Jamal Al-Sharif, Chairman of Dubai Film and TV Commission, welcomed them at Burj Khalifa’s At The Top lounge too.

Despite ‘Laxxmi Bomb’s release slated to be on 5th June. 2020, the Coronavirus outbreak postponed its release and at last, the film is scheduled to launch digitally on Disney+ Hotstar on 9th November, 2020. It’s a remake of 2011 Tamil movie, ‘Kanchana.’

In time for its promotions, Zee Music Company released the film’s first track, aptly named ‘Burj Khalifa,’ shot in front of the iconic landmark, as well as Downtown, Meydan, Dubai Marina and the emirate’s sprawling deserts. If we were to suggest, check it out for the incredible portrayal of our city and the dance moves:

It’s worth mentioning Laxxmi Bomb joins a special line-up of blockbusters shot in the UAE, including the 2014 film, ‘Happy New Year,’ Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai,’ ‘Bang Bang,’ ‘Race 3,’ ‘Raees’ and ‘Humar Adhuri Kahaani.’ Not to mention the UAE playing host to Hollywood movies like ‘Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol,’ ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and Netflix’s biggest budget film, ‘6 Underground.’

What’s more, Akshay Kumar is no stranger to the UAE, having shot movies like ‘Hera Pheri,’ ‘Airlift’ and ‘Welcome.’
