Hot on the heels of the recent Twitter scam preying upon high profile American personalities, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Mod’s website account i fell victim to a cyber scam hacked by a mysterious cybercriminal who names himself ‘John Wick.’

@narendramodi_in, an account PM Modi uses to share updates from his website and app, posted a series of bogus tweets inviting people to donate to the PM Cares Fund using cryptocurrency. The suspicious thread ended with the hacker naming himself over pop culture’s daring hitman, John Wick, followed by his email ID.

While the ‘Matrix’ and ‘John Wick’ star turned 56 yesterday, Reeves’ birthday happened to coincide with his fictional character’s name used as the hacker’s identity.
Joe Biden, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and many American Twitter accounts hacked this year
Last July saw an array of renowned businessmen, politicians and prominent leaders’ Twitter accounts getting hacked for a bitcoin scheme, which reportedly earned a whopping. $100,000 with hours before Twitter’s cyber-security counterpart, Twitter Support locked their accounts. The scheme involved Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Barack Obama, Bill Gates, Kanye West and Joe Biden.
