A 23-year-old British air hostess working for Emirates Airline has been freed from jail after her Dubai Police unravelled illegal narcotics from her apartment.
Dubai Police caught air hostess with narcotics
Last month, UK Air Hostess Derrin Crawford was sentenced to prison after being held in possession of narcotics. She was returning back home after dinner date coming to know Dubai Police raided her house.
A spokesperson from Dubai Police says she and another UK National was arrested in possession of narcotics “with the intent to supply.”
Negative drug test record
Derrin’s imprisonment was received with an uproar of family and friends defending her case claiming she didn’t consume any narcotics and was at the ‘wrong place a the wrong time’. It wasn’t until she gave a drug test and tested negative, allowing her to return back home.
A petition in support for Derrin’s release received more than 19,000 signatures.

Yesterday, Liverpool’s Member of Parliament Kim Johnson took to Twitter announcing the 23-year-old air hostess’ release from prison.
It’s worth noting drugs are a big no in the UAE. Anyone caught in possession of illegal narcotics is subject to hefty fines and imprisonment in the country.
