Business news outlet recently rolled out its international list of top ten highest-paid celebrities in 2020 and India’s very Akshay Kumar ranks sixth ahead of famed celebrities like Jackie Chan and Will Smith.
Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Mark Wahlberg top Forbes’ highest-paid actors
Hollywood hunk Dwayne Johnson emerged triumphant on this year’s highest-paid actors rank earning a whopping $87.5 million (AED 321m), primarily through Netflix’s upcoming comedy blockbuster “Red Notice” and a brand endorsement deal with sports apparel brand Under Armour. The rank followed with Ryan Reynolds of Deadpool fame making $71.5 million (AED 262m) and Mile 22-starrer Mark Wahlberg taking home earnings of $58 million (AED 213m).
Akshay Kumar the sixth-highest paid actor in 2020
Forbes’ ranking reveal Akshay Kumar pocketed a staggering $48.5 million (AED 178m), courtesy of a slew of blockbusters including ‘Kesari’ earning INR 207 crores (AED 101m), ‘Mission Mangal’ earning INR 290 crores (AED 142m), ‘Housefull 4’ earning INR 280.27 crores (AED 137m) and ‘Good Newwz’ racking up INR 318.57 crores (AED 156m) last December. This year will see Akshay Kumar star in the hotly-anticipated movie ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ and his venture into TV shows, ‘The End’ releasing on Amazon Prime.
With $48.5 million, Akki could buy himself a penthouse in Burj Khalifa worth AED 25 million, an AED 50 million villa in Palm Jumeirah, an AED 33 million ‘D 5’ Dubai number plate, a monthly stay in Burj Al Arab and still save another $18.4 million!

Will Smith, Adam Sandler and Jackie Chan among top earners
Akshay Kumar’s ranking followed with ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ star Will Smith earning $44.5 million (AED 163m), Adam Sandler took home earnings of $41 million (AED 150m) and martial arts icon Jackie Chan amassing earnings of $40 million (AED 146m).
