A policeman from the Al Raffa Station in Bur Dubai is earning praise for refusing a bribe worth more than AED 70,000, and was has been rewarded with a promotion.
AED 70,000+ bribe
Sergeant Raed Qaid Abdulrahim was approached by a wanted cybercriminal offering him AED 50,000, a luxury car, and a monthly payment of AED 20,000 in a bid to get him out of jail. The officer reported his case to the Public Funds Prosecution and was offered a promotion for integrity and honesty by Dubai Police.
