It looks like tech stalwart Apple is building production lines for iPhone 11s from China to India, investing a whopping $1 billion (AED 3.67b) into the country.
Apple iPhone production moving to India
A slew of reports by Indian media claim Apple is shifting its production lines from China to India in the aftermath of the Coronavirus pandemic, in addition to ongoing diplomatic tensions between the US and China.

Manufacturers including Wistron, Pegatron and Foxconn are contracted by Apple to mass-produce its phones, and their bid to relocate to India could reportedly generate a staggering 55,000 jobs over a year, assembling phones worth $5 billion (AED 18.3b) according to the Times of India.
TOI also reports if the venture turns out successful, Apple may expand into mass-producing tablets, computers and laptops in the coming years.
