Firefighters from Dubai Civil Defence battled a blaze at a residential building in Oud Metha behind Lamcy Plaza last night, no casualties were reported.
Fires hit residential building in Oud Metha
Dozens of residents in the Oud Metha neighbourhood headed out to the streets after fires broke out from an apartment behind Lamcy Plaza around 9:25 pm. Firefighters from Al Karama, Ittihad and Port Saeed stations arrived onto the scene within five minutes, evacuating residents inside the building and contained the blaze by 11:19 pm.
It’s the third disaster Dubai has seen this month. Last Monday saw a restaurant explode due to a gas leak, damaging surrounding shops and cars, followed by a wood factory catching fire last week.
