Motorist stranded in the middle of Al Faya desert
Let’s admit it, a lot of us are on the search for a getaway with a few people around in the aftermath of Coronavirus, making social distancing the new norm. A 62-year-old Emirati made his way to the Al Faya desert, known for its soft-sand terrain and vast dunes for an escape from the city and things got way out of hand when his SUV got stuck on a dune, and was reported missing until Abu Dhabi Police came to know about it.
Working with the National Search and Rescue Center (NSRC), a helicopter was deployed with a team on the search of the Emirati and was found in the middle of the dunes. Check out the footage:
As of now, the Emirati is receiving medical treatment at the Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi.
