Dubai Rolls Out Special Passport Stickers For Incoming Residents And Tourists

Just in time with Dubai lifting lockdown restrictions, they’re introducing special passport stickers for residents and tourists arriving in the emirate with a heartfelt message.

Last April saw a massive rise in Coronavirus cases in the UAE and globally, bringing air transport to a standstill. The travel halt gradually lifted off with limited repatriation flights and outgoing residents and visitors offered a farewell sticker that read “Have a Safe Flight, We’ll Meet Soon.”

Three months into July, with cases reducing from the 900s to the mid 400s, Dubai announced gradually reopening the emirate, notably beaches, parks, theme parks and tourist attractions. Just in time when the emirate is prepared to welcome the world, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) announced introducing special passport stickers for residents and tourists returning to the UAE with a message that reads, “Welcome to your second home.”

It’s quite a rare moment for the immigration to offer free passport stickers. To passengers. Prior to Coronavirus, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey was greeted with a one-off sticker Check it out:
