Rising to prominence through TV serials like “ Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil” and “Pavitra Rishta,” Sushant Singh Rajput was a prominent actor on the silver screen until making his cinematic debut in the 2013 film, “Kai Po Che.” There was no looking back for the Patna-born actor ever since, bagging lead roles in big-budget films like “PK,” “Raabta,” “Shuddh Desi Romance” and “Kedarnath.”
His acting career peaked in 2016 following the release of “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story,” playing the role of veteran cricketing legend, MS Dhoni. The 34-year-old garnered praises and critical acclaim for his role. Fun fact, the movie even made it to the Oscars in contention for the ‘Best Picture’ award, competing with an extensive line-up of 336 films.
Last year saw Rajput starring in the beloved comedy-drama film, “Chhichhore,” which emerged as one of the most commercially successful films of 2019. His final movie, “Dil Bechara,” is touted to release this year, with a storyline inspired by the 2014 romance drama, “The Fault In Our Stars.”
Yesterday, Rajput was found dead inside his residence in Mumbai. Initial investigations claim it was a suicide. His passing away came a week after his talent manager, Disha Salian committed suicide last week.
