13-car collision on Emirates Road last Sunday

After more than a month on Coronavirus lockdown, the lift certainly didn’t go well on the roads, with a pile-up involving 13 vehicles on the Emirates Road (E611). A line-up of sedans and a pick-up crashed on the National highway Sharjah-bound, due to “low visibility and dusty weather conditions.”

Dubai Police advises motorists to use hazard lights “for emergency situations” and frequently clean the car windshield with water as negligence may lead in “forming a sticky mud-based material that blocks the driver’s vision.”
