Ajman baker caught spitting in dough
If you’re anything like us, who came across the popular joke circulating on WhatsApp claiming “Don’t be surprised if your shawarma tastes different because restaurant workers started washing their hands these days,” it’s quite a big deal beyond a laugh because, given the Coronavirus crisis, food safety and hygiene standards are more important than ever.
A baker in Ajman took offence after someone caught him spitting in dough in a viral video outside a cafeteria in the emirate, sending social media into a spiral raising concerns over food safety and quality. The worker was sentenced to imprisonment, followed by a Coronavirus test.
