It isn’t everyday we see a leader get emotional, and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s tearful response came after seeing UAE residents of various backgrounds and nationalities chant the National Anthem, “Ishi Biladi,” in the wake of Coronavirus.
Sheikh Mohamed confesses he “shed a tear” and wished “May God protect you and protect the country you are loyal to,” and “God willingly, we will get through this phase with you safe and sound, and with success from God.”

It’s really impressive to hear our residents echoing the National Anthem of the UAE on social media platforms as the National Disinfection Programme is being carried out nationwide. MBZ reassures the UAE is ready to face Coronavirus crisis
Coronavirus is no joke. Three months into the outbreak, the pandemic claimed 42,107 lives and another 856,917 patients diagnosed with the disease. Through these challenging times, the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince reaffirms the UAE is ready to survive through this phase and “will never hesitate to take any measures against any potential threat to people’s life.

Sheikh Mohamed also reaffirms the UAE has enough food and medical supplies to sustain the Coronavirus crisis, claiming the UAE “is in a safe position and will continue to be so.”

220,00 Coronavirus tests carried out
While the world scrambles to contain Coronavirus, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) has been at the forefront of health coverage by carrying out more than 220,000 tests for COVID-19, in line with government’s efforts to ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
“The Ministry of health had carried out more than 220,000 laboratory tests across the UAE for COVID-19. This makes the UAE’s testing coverage at over 22,900 tests per million people; the second-highest test density in the world. The tests have been conducted in collaboration with various authorities in the country, as part of the government’s efforts to ensure the safety and wellbeing of citizens and residents and to curb the spread of COVID-19.”Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention.
