Disinfection efforts are being carried out by Dubai Municipality workers across the emirate in an effort to combat the novel Coronavirus outbreak.
Disinfection program begins in Dubai
Last night saw Dubai Municipality workers wear full-body suits spraying public places, signals, buildings, roads, dustbins and busy residential neighbourhoods with disinfectants as they sanitize the city over the weekend. The next three days will see huge volumes of sterilising spray being used across the emirate as residents are advised to stay under quarantine.
333 Coronavirus cases in the UAE
Dubai Municipality’s disinfection initiative is happening in the wake of 85 Coronavirus cases confirmed in the UAE, amounting to a staggering total of 333 cases. On the brighter side, 52 patients are recovering from the novel outbreak.
Dr. Farida Al Hosani, spokesperson of the UAE health sector, says “The recent precautionary measures announced are aimed at protecting society, with the law to be applied only to violators of the UAE on communicable diseases, under which violators are subject to jail terms and fines.
24/7 healthcare centres open across the UAE
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) launched a string of healthcare centres situated across the northern emirates and are open around the clock. Here are the locations:
