With mounting Coronavirus cases in the UAE and globally, Dubai’s Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum is encouraging UAE residents and citizens to get involved in the community by joining the ‘Your City Needs You’ campaign, a volunteering initiative created “to help safeguard the welfare of society.”

“My message to everyone is to volunteer to join the dedicated teams that are working around-the-clock to protect our community. This is part of our social responsibility and our duty to help safeguard the welfare of society. Our aim is to ensure the highest levels of protection against the global pandemic we are facing and support the government’s efforts to combat it. This is a great opportunity to show our unity and our love for our city”.

Volunteering not only limited to the health sector

Residents and Emiratis can apply for a plethora of roles suiting their profession. Volunteers are required to work at least for a day through the year. The initiative is happening in line with the Emir of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision “to spread the values of volunteerism as a humanitarian and national duty.”
