Burj Khalifa Lights Up In Solidarity With Italy Amid Coronavirus

Dubai’s Burj Khalifa lit up the Downtown skyline in the colours of Italy last night standing in solidarity with the country in overcoming the global panademic, Coronavirus.

24,700 confirmed cases and 1,800 deaths in Italy due to Coronavirus

Italy is the second-most affected country by the novel Coronavirus outbreak after China. A whopping 3,590 cases and 398 deaths were confirmed within 24 hours, making it the biggest single-day increase in the country. The total count stands at a staggering 24,700 cases and 1,800 deaths. Iran follows the list with 14,000+ cases and 724 deaths, and South Korea with 8,200 cases and 75 deaths.

Burj Khalifa shines in the colours of Italy’s flag

Last night, the Burj Khalifa lit its facade in green, white and red following with a message, “Siamo Con Voi,” which translates to “We Are With You.” The Government of Dubai Media Office says the light show is “a sign of solidarity and friendship with Italy in the common challenge to overcome, Coronavirus.”
