It’s a proud moment for the UAE, with Leaders and Royals celebrating the return of brave soldiers after serving the Arab Coalition in Yemen.

In the course of five years, the UAE’s Armed Forces helped Yemen with humanitarian aid involving rebuilding hospitals, schools and infrastructures, as well as distributing thousands of tonnes of food aid. 22 Yemeni government entities benefitted from the donations.

AED 22 billion worth of assistance provided by the UAE
Some of the biggest donations provided by the UAE were for health and the education sector. A whopping AED2.37 billion were invested in treatment facilities, medicines and medical supplies, establishing 110 hospitals, medical centres and clinics, and providing 77 ambulances.
Within three years of donation, the hospitals received 946,644 cases, and carried out 15,996 surgeries.

2.49 million Yemeni students benefit from humanitarian aid
Meanwhile, the UAE donated an astonishing AED 294 million to rehabilitate and restore 360 schools, kindergartens and institutes. They also provided school uniforms to 120,000 students, alongside 85,000 bags.
It’s estimated that 2,491,996 Yemeni students benefitted from the program.

UAE Leaders welcome soldiers after returning from Yemen
Abu Dhabi Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the UAE’s Rulers were joined by a line-up of Ministers, Royals and Officials to celebrate the return of the Armed Forces with a massive ceremony featuring an air show.
