Last Thursday saw a bus carrying 25 female workers collide with a truck in Abu Dhabi, claiming six deaths and 19 casualties.
Fatal bus crash in Abu Dhabi
25 female workers who worked as cleaning staff for the MBM Group were aboard a minibus in Abu Dhabi when the driver rammed into a lorry at Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street. The coach crashed into the truck after it was forced to apply emergency brakes behind a slowing sedan.
19 injured and six dead post-crash
An Abu Dhabi Police report claims the bus driver, identified as a Pakistani, passed away on the spot following the crash, followed by one Nepalese woman, one Sri Lankan woman and three more victims whose identities haven’t been revealed. What’s more, from the 19 injured passengers, 16 of them were Nepalese, and one was Ugandan and Sri Lankan respectively.
